Today i was reading on Robert Hooke's tunnel train .Hmm and i asked myself what would happen if a tunnel was dug to the center of the earth at the point where 0º longitude and 0º latitude intersected ..

The object will fall right through the hole to the other end and fall on the ground due to gravity The object will settle at the center because there is no gravity at that center of the Earth The object will float at the the center of the Earth due to gravity from all directions The object will move to and fro in the hole coming out of each opposite

Ok. .Here is the solution .As it object is thrown into the hole its pulled by gravity to the center of the earth where no gravitation is existant but since there is no obstraction in the hole and according to a Newtonian law of motion" An object in motion stays in motion unless stopped by an external obstraction or force. So clearly this motion continues on and on ..
