Required angle is 90 − 2 1 4 ∗ 30 = 22 1 2 90-2\frac{1}{4}*30=22\frac{1}{2} degree.

the hour hand moves same fraction of the distance between two and three (30 degree) as the minute hand has moved of a complete rotation (1/4) 30-\frac { 1 }{ 4 } (30)=30-7\frac { 1 }{ 2 } =22\frac { 1 }{ 2 }
