A classical mechanics problem by Triptesh Biswas

A dog is chasing a cat.The cat is running with constant velocity $U$ and the dog is running with constant speed $V$. At an instant direction of motion of dog makes an angle ${alpha}$ with that of cat and the distance between them is $R$. Find magnitude of acceleration of the dog at that instant.

{\frac{UVSin{{alpha}}}{R}} {\frac{UVCos{{alpha}}}{R}} {\frac{UV}{RCos{{alpha}}}} {\frac{UV}{RSin{{alpha}}}}
