An algebra problem by Vishnu Kadiri
I made a list of whole numbers in ascending order such that the 2nd number is 1 more than the 1st , the 3rd is 2 more than the 2nd, the 4th is 3 more than the 3rd and so on. If this pattern is continued, what would be the difference between the 102nd number and the 100th in the list?
The answer is 201.
