A problem of combination

A box contains 12 marbles of three different colours green, yellow and blue , 4 each.

If you were to close your eyes and pick them at random, what minimum number of marbles must you take out to be sure that there are at least two of one colour among the marbles picked out?

To be sure that there are atleast two marbles of one colour , the minimum number of marbels to be picked should be 4 . This is because in the first 3 pickings , we may get one of each colour and so on the fourth pick there will be one of each colour.

Again Equation... Simply Proportion of Equality.

-12 marbles. 4 different colors. Total of 48 marbles.. Divide by 12
