What is the expected value for the distance between them?

You can calculate this as follows:

100 0 2 π 2 sin ( θ / 2 ) d θ 2 π = 100 8 2 π 127 100\frac{\int_{0}^{2\pi } 2\sin (\theta/2) d\theta}{2\pi} = 100\frac{8}{2\pi} \approx \boxed{127}
