you are having 9 identical balls 8 of same mass and 1 is heavier.you are provided with a common balance.what is the minimum no of uses of common balance to find which is heavier mass.

MINIMUM, WE HAVE TO USE IT FOR TWO TIMES. FIRST PLACE 3 BALLS ON ONE PLATE AND 3 BALLS ON OTHER PLATE. IF ONE SIDE IS HEAVIER TAKE THOSE 3 BALLS AND KEEP 1 BALL ON ONE PLATE AND 1 BALL ON OTHER PLATE.YOU CAN FIND WHICH IS HEAVIER.IF BOTH ARE SAME THEN 3RD ONE WILL BE HEAVIER.IF THE PLATES ARE BALANCED WHEN U KEEP 3 AND 3 THEN TAKE ANOTHER 3 BALLS AND DO THE SAME PROCESS.
