A vs B
There is an object with mass 5 kg. It is located on the ground. A man(with weight 55 N) is trying to lift up that object with some force.
On the other hand, considering the same object with same amount of mass. But it has been thrown to the water(from ground). Another man with the same weight is trying to lift up that object(with the same force) from the water to ground.
Let's call the first man A, and the second man B. Who will find it easier to lift up that object?

The object in the water is easier to lift because its apparent weight is lower due to the buoyant force acting on the object
