A,B.C or D?

A,B,C and D are positive Integers less than 10. A is three times of B . The difference between Band D is 2. C is 1 less than D. Which is the smallest number ?

A=9,B=3,,D=5,C=4. D cant be 1 since C is one less than it and all integers>0. So, the smallest number is B.

Can you explain why A can only be 9? Since B is three times A, A could be 9, 6, or even 3

Not really, for A other any value then will result in fractional solutions for either D or B. So, it has to be 9.
