3 x 2 + 6 x 9 = 0 3x^2 + 6x - 9 = 0

Solve for x x .

x = 3 , x = 1 x= -3, x= 1 x = 3 , x = 1 x= -3, x= -1 x = 3 , x = 1 x= 3, x= -1 x = 3 , x = 1 x= 3, x= 1

Actually, The question is wrong. The polynomial must be 3 x 2 + 6 x 9 S o , 3 x 2 + 6 x 9 = 3 ( x + 3 ) ( x 1 ) x = 3 , 1 3x^2 + 6x -9 \\ So, 3x^2 + 6x - 9 = 3(x + 3)(x - 1) \\ \therefore x = \color{#D61F06}{\boxed{-3,1}}

3x^2 + 6x -9=0

or, x^2 + 2x - 3 =0 ............................[dividing the whole equation by 3]

or, x^2 + 3x -x -3 =0 .........................[ middle term]

or, x(x + 3) -1(x +3)=0

or, (x+3 ) (x- 1)= 0

so, x=-3 , 1
