About water thermodynamics
I put two jars of water in my freezer. Everything in them is equal: The amount of water, the type of pots, and the temperature of the place where I put them. Except for one thing: The initial temperature of the water. One has hot water and the other has cold water. Even without knowing the exact temperature of the water, answer: Which of the two will take longer to freeze?
