What is the area of the region enclosed by the graph of ∣ x − 60 ∣ + ∣ y ∣ = ∣ x 4 ∣ |x-60| + |y| = |\frac{x}{4}| ?


The answer is 480.0.

I graphed the equation in Desmos (the graphing could also be done conventionally by plugging in points). The graph was kite with diagonals 32 32 and 30 30 , so the area was ( 32 ∗ 30 ∗ 0.5 ) = 480 (32*30*0.5) = 480 .
