Solve the following absolute value equation.

x 4 = 6 |x - 4| = 6 .

x = -2, 10 x = 2, 8 x = -2 x = 10

at first ,

removing the modulus..............[for positive absolute]

x 4 = 6 x-4=6 or, x = 10 x=10

now, for negative value.....

x 4 = 6 x-4=-6 or, x = 2 x=-2
