Frank was driving his rolls royce at a constant velocity of 6m/s and the car weighs 2200kg. He drives the car for 2 minutes. Calculate the acceleration using the data quoted and assume the initial velocity was 0m/s . Once you have calculated the acceleration to two decimal places work out the force in newtons and your solution should be a positive integer.

if a=v-u/t, you substitute the values for velocity 6m/s which is the final velocity and 0m/s which is the initial velocity to give you 6m/s-0m/s which equals 6m/s. Then you convert two mintues to seconds which is 120 seconds. Now you can calculate the acceleration hence a=6/120=0.05. Now that we have the value for acceleration you can use this in the equation f=ma thus the force=0.05*2200kg which gives you with the value of 110N which is the answer to the question.
