(1/2)x(360/5)=(1/2)x72=36

You should include an explanation of your steps, otherwise no one will be able to understand how you arrived at your equation.

I believed you used a circle which circumscribes the regular pentagon. If the center is O O , then A O E = 36 0 2 = 7 2 \angle AOE = \frac{360^\circ }{2} = 72^\circ and hence A C E = 7 2 2 = 3 6 \angle ACE = \frac{72^\circ}{2} = 36 ^ \circ .
