Due to the ortho effect

Ortho effect states that ortho substituted benzoic acids and anilines are more acidic than benzoic acid and aniline respectively.Elaborate on how you compared o m p positions.

Are you absolutely sure about this? Because our chem sir said that it's not observed for methoxy group...

but methoxy group is not big enough to produce ortho effect!!

ortho effect could be observed if there were 2 methoxy groups in ortho position

No it is enough., if it would have been OH then it won't be enough
