By finding the values for the formula s = (n÷2) [a+ l], where S is the sum, n is the number of 3 digit positive odd numbers, a is the first odd number, and l is the last, we can assign: a= 101, l= 999, and there are 450 positive odd 3 digit numbers, so by putting the values in the formula: (450÷2) (101+999)= 247500.
