My uncle puzzled me by saying "Well 18 years ago I was thrice as old as my son but now I am only twice as old as my son". Assume that my uncle is over 20 years of age 18 years ago. What is my uncle's and cousin's ages at present?
Uncle=78 Cousin=39
Uncle=72 Cousin=36
Uncle=64 Cousin=32
Uncle=62 Cousin=31

Let my Cousin's age be x and my Uncle's age is 2 times his age or 2x (at present). then 18 years ago 2x - 18 = 3(x-18) so the only solution available to this problem is x=36 and 2x=72. (There are many more solutions considering my uncle is over a hundred).
