Ana(40)>Jill(40-30)<Elizabeth(30+5) \text{Ana(40)>Jill(40-30)<Elizabeth(30+5)}

so, Elizabeth is 35 years old \text{so, Elizabeth is 35 years old}

A = 10 + J A=10+J ( 1 ) \color{#D61F06}(1)

J = E 5 J=E-5 ( 2 ) \color{#D61F06}(2)

However, A = 40 A=40 , substitute this in ( 1 ) \color{#D61F06}(1) , we have

40 = 10 + J 40=10+J \implies J = 40 10 = 30 J=40-10=30

Now substitute J = 30 J=30 in ( 2 ) \color{#D61F06}(2) , we get

30 = E 5 30=E-5 \implies E = 30 + 5 = E=30+5= 35 \color{#D61F06}\boxed{35}
