Air in chip bags

Chemistry Level 2

The air filling a bag of chips consists of nitrogen. Why do we fill a bag of chips with nitrogen?

Because nitrogen has low reactivity. Because nitrogen has high density. Because nitrogen is toxic to bacteria. Because nitrogen reacts with the ingredients in the chips and enhances flavor.

Nitrogen gas ( N X 2 ) (\ce{N2}) is injected into potato chip bags to keep the chips safe from physical impact. The reason nitrogen is used is because nitrogen has very low reactivity, and can prevent the chips from rotting. Also, since nitrogen composes 78% of our atmosphere, it is very easy to obtain.
