Write out tables of powers to the modulus 10. 2 1 2 0 1 4 is 1 and 1 2 2 0 1 4 is 6, so that 2 1 2 0 1 4 − 1 2 2 0 1 4 is 5, and so not divisible by 10. Check 11 in a similar way, They are both 1 mod 11, so one take away the other is divisble by 11.
