as, b=2

so, a+ a + b 2 \frac {b}{2} =3

or, 2a +1 =3.................[b=2 and 2 2 \frac {2}{2} =1]

or, 2a =2

or, a=1

Knowing b=2.
According to the question:
a+a+b/2=3
=> 2a+b/2=3 =>Substitute b=2 => 2a+2/2=3 => 2a+1=3 => 2a=2 => a=1
