The Fooling ecuation

Calculus Level 2

What is the value of x x in the ecuation: x 2 4 x + 4 x 2 12 x + 20 = 0 \frac{x^{2} - 4x +4}{x^{2} - 12x + 20} = 0

10 The ecuation has no solution 2

We can write the expression as (x-2)^2/(x-2)(x-10) and it's easy to see that it will be 0 when (x-2)^2=0, but this makes denominator 0, then the equation has no solution.

why ? the answer is 2, (x-2)/(x-10)=0 , if x=2, so (0)/(-8)=0
