The side length of the big triangle is 6 3 = 2 \dfrac{6}{3}=2 .

The side length of the smaller equilateral triangle is therefore 2 2 = 1 \dfrac{2}{2}=1 as they all have the same side lengths.

Each small triangle has perimeter 3 × 1 = 3 3 \times 1=3 . Our answer is:

3 × 4 = 12 3 \times 4=\boxed{12}
