Among Us: Find the Impostor!

Logic Level 1

In Among Us, one of the 16 people on The Skeld is the impostor. You've been sent to investigate the crime. Using the picture below, how many questions do you need to ask to find the impostor? (Assume everyone tells the truth) You can only ask yes or no questions. (Sorry everyone for the inconvenience of posting this later instead of then)

The answer is 4.

If you ask four maximally informative questions (questions with equivalent chances of the answer being yes or know), you'll find the impostor. Thus, the answer is 4 . Also, thanks to one of Brilliant's quizzes in the topic of Knowledge and Uncertainty for giving me this riddle.

they didn't give it to you you stole it

" Using the picture below, how many questions do you need to ask to find the impostor?" you ask this and then give this information (Assume everyone tells the truth) When you ask which of you is a traitor, she must give the correct answer (traitor) and the answer should have been just 1 why not?

as this question was basically stolen from the knowledge and uncertainty course you must first go there to understand the question. so in the course the setting was that there was a guard that saw the thief, as the crime was that a precious jewel had been stolen(like this problem), and you asked the guard whether or not the criminal had stripes, was blue, what hat, and etc. as for why the guard couldn't tell which was the criminal in a group of 16 suspects, we don't know. the question in the course was what was the least amount of questions you had to ask the guard to be able to know who the criminal is from the suspects. on second thought, showing the guard the picture of the suspects and asking which one was the thief is like asking the guard if Audrey was the criminal, if bill was the criminal, if Clare was the criminal, and so on and so forth until the guard answers "yes".

If you know which questions to ask, you can find the imposter by asking 4 questions.

You can ask about the features of the imposter, shape, color, accessories worn and striations.

Each question can bring down the number of suspects by 1/2

Here is a bonus problem by me

@Aditya Mittal - The bonus problem was great! Can you tell me how to give links to other problems, like you did here, by making the words blue?

The link text should be put in [] and the link in (). Check out the link button (2.5) in this guide

Striped or not, blue or red, hat or glasses, square or triangle

Good explanation, though include you can ask those questions in any order.
