a ball with a mass of 1 pound is attached to a string. From its initial position, the ball is hit and its swung a position with a bearing angle of 31 degrees and the ball is 5 cm higher . What is the length of the string in cm?

Let X be the length of string.
Xcos(31) = X - 5
X = 35
