Raise both sides to the third power.

[ ( x 1 ) 1 3 ] 3 = [ 5 ] 3 { [{ (x-1) }^{ \frac { 1 }{ 3 } } }]^{ 3 }={ [5] }^{ 3 }

Thus x 1 = 125 x-1=125 and x = 126 x = 126
