Easily, we can say,

A B C D E = 1 × 1 × 1 × 1 × 1 ABCDE = -1 \times -1 \times -1 \times -1 \times 1

So,

A + B + C + D + E = ( 1 ) + ( 1 ) + ( 1 ) + ( 1 ) + 1 = 3 A + B + C + D + E = (-1) + (-1) + (-1) + (-1) + 1 = -3
