A probability problem by Greapcă Maria

In my garden, there are 19 red flowers, 5 blue flowers and 27 yellow flowers. Without seeing the flowers, I have to pick them so that I ensure I get a bouquet with each color at least once.

What is the minimum number of flowers that I have to pick?

The answer is 47.

In the worst case scenario, it is possible to cut 19 red flowers and 27 yellow flowers and not end up with any blue flowers in the box, so 46 isn't enough. But in this case, the 47th flower would have to be blue and thus you would end up with a guaranteed 3 colors of flowers in the box with 47 flowers.
