Algebra Level 3

a club consist of members whose ages are in A.P. the common difference being 3 months . if the youngest member of the club is just 7 years old and the sum of the ages of all the members is 250 . then the no of members in the club are ;

The people who have reported/will report this problem, just take a note of one thing, that the Common Difference is given in MONTHS.

First convert it into years(1/4) and then apply the Sum formula as done by Denel Joi

You'll get a quadratic equation, solve it to get N=25

Let n be the number of members in the club Then, 250 = n/2 [ (2)(7) + ( n-1) ( 3/12 )] n = 25
