2 2 = 4 , 3 3 = 27 2^2 = 4, 3^3 = 27

4 < 10 < 27 2 2 < x x < 3 3 2 < x < 3 4 < 10 < 27 \implies 2^2 < x^x < 3^3 \implies 2 < x < 3

Using the definition of the floor function, x = 2 \lfloor x \rfloor = \boxed{2} .
