1 solution

2 x = x 2 \sqrt{2x} = \frac{x}{2}

Squaring both sides of the equation, we obtain

2 x = x 2 4 2x = \frac{x^2}{4}

Cross-multiplying, we obtain

8 x = x 2 8x = x^2

Dividing both sides of the equation by x x , we obtain

8 = x 8 = x
