2x=x+2+3 If you quit the x on the second equation and the number 2 in the first, it says: x=2+3 (5) Answer: 5

2 x = x + 2 + 3 2x = x+2+3

2 x x = 5 + x x 2x-x = 5 + x-x

x = 5 x = 5

OMG! I can't believe that is so easy.

2 x = x + 2 + 3 2x = x + 2 + 3

2 x x = 5 \Rightarrow 2x - x = 5

x = 5 x = 5

2x=x+2+3.find X.

First add the like terms together:

2x=x+5

Subtract X from both sides:

2x - x=x-x+5

You get x = 5

2x = x+2+3. 2x-x = 2+3, X(2-1) = 5, X(1) =5, So x=5. Really easy.
