Since the left side and the right side has equal denominator, we can cancel out 3, then simplify.

2a-3=a

2a-a=3

a=3

Multiply the equation by the common denominator 3 and simplify

2a -3=a 2a-a=3 a=3

The answer should actually be 3 3 .
