I do not feel I need to say much more than the fact that the integrand is odd about x = 0 x=0 and that we are integrating over a range that is also symmetric about 0. Hence, the answer is 0 0 In fact, had we integrated over any range of the form [ a , a ] [-a,a] , the integral would still equal 0.
