since 1 hour is equal to 3,600 second and 1 mile is 5,280 feet so,

8 , 800 f p s = 8 , 800 × 3 , 600 5 , 280 = 6 , 000 m p h 8,800\quad fps=8,800\times \frac{3,600}{5,280}=6,000\quad mph
