If line y=-x+a and line y=x+b intersects at point (m,8), evaluate a+b=?

Same as athiyaman did

We are given y = -x + a and y = x + b

adding both equations

we get 2y =a+b

Since the lines intersect at a point (m,8) , y will be 8

Therefore a+b=16
