If a a and b b are irrational numbers , is it possible for a + b a+b to be rational ?

For example, 3 2 3-\sqrt2 is irrational and 2 \sqrt2 is irrational. But 3 2 + 2 = 3 3-\sqrt2+\sqrt2 = 3 which is rational. So, yes \boxed{\mbox{yes}} , two irrational numbers can add up to a rational number.
