Let the horizontal component be B H B_H and the vertical component be B V . B_V. Let the angle of dip be θ . \theta.
According to the question, B H = B V . B_H=B_V.
t a n θ = B V B H tan\theta=\frac{B_V}{B_H}
t a n θ = B V B V tan\theta=\frac{B_V}{B_V}
t a n θ = 1 tan\theta=1
θ = 4 5 . \theta=\boxed {45^\circ}.
