We just have to insert the arithmetic mean of A and C which is 4 + 10 2 = 7 \dfrac{4 + 10}{2} = \color{#69047E}{\boxed{7}} .

Its a rule that if three numbers are in an AP say a,b,c Then , 2b=a+c ,I dont know the name of the rule if anybody knows please tell me. So just substituting the values, we get 2b=4+10 2b=14 b = 7 \boxed{b=7 }
