Take 4 2004 4^{2004} common, you get

\implies 4 2004 × ( 4 1 ) 4^{2004}\times \left(4-1\right)

\implies 4 2004 × 3 = 2 4008 × 3 4^{2004} \times 3 = \boxed{2^{4008}\times 3}
