suppose 3 apples are on a table and then u take 2 from them now i ask you how many apples you have ,so you answer 2 \boxed{2} hence the answer is 2 2

haha tricky :) i answered 1 on the first attempt but after reading it closely i got the answer

Hey but How?

you take 2 apples from 3...so, you have 2 apples...the word "left" at the end of the question is slightly misleading...:p :)
