No of apples eaten on wednesday is x
No of apples eaten on tuesday is x+49
x+49+x=51
2x=2
x=1---> eaten on wednesday
tuesday --->1+49 =50
Statistics all about assumption.
Let, Wednesday's apple to be x and Tuesday's apple to be x + 49
*We need to find x that is Wednesday's apple so that we can substitute the value of x in Tuesday's apple equation to get the amount of apple been ate. *
Hence here it goes :¬
x + x + 49 = 51
2x = 2
x = 1 (Amount of apple been ate on Wednesday)
Substituting in Tuesday's apple equation,
x + 49 (we know x is 1)
So, 1 + 49 that is 50 apples been ate on Tuesday.
50 - 1 = 49 and 50 + 1 = 51. Therefore the answer is 50 apples on Tuesday.
Let's put X apples were eaten on Wednesday. And (X + 49) were eaten on Tuesday. Total apples were eaten is 51. Here's an equation: X +(X = 49) = 51 => 2 * X + 49 = 51 => 2 * X = 2 => X = 1. So number of apples were eaten on Tuesday is 49 + 1 = 50.
x = 51 (total apples)
Tue = Tuesday's Apples
Wed = Wednesday's Apples
Tue = 49 + Wed
Tue | + | Wed | = | x |
(49 + Wed) | + | Wed | = | 51 |
Wed | + | Wed | = | 51 - 49 |
2 Wed | = | 2 | ||
Wed | = | 2 / 2 | ||
Wed | = | 1 |
Tue + Wed = x Tue + 1 = 51 Tue = 51 - 1 Tue = 50
If you ate 51 apples in all, and in Tuesday you ate 49 more than Wednesday, you ate 50 apples in Tuesday and 1 in Wednesday.
Let suppose I ate "x" apples on Wednesday Therefore, I ate (x+49) on Tuesday. So, x+(x+49)=51 2x+49=51 2x=2 x=1 So, I ate 49+1=50 apples on Tuesday! ..)
Total apples eaten are 51 which means apples eaten on tuesday are definitely less than or equal to 51 (incase no apple is eaten on wednesday). Therefore 52 cannot be the answer. Now since it says that apples eaten on tuesday are 49 more..it clearly indicates that the answer cannot be 12 or 1. Hence, it has to be 50.
no of apples = 51 ....eq1... . no of apples ate on wed=x eq2.......and no of apples ate on tuesdayeq3 =x+49 so ........... x+49+x=51 ...... 2x=51-19 .......2x=2.......x=1......then put x=1 in eq3 so 1+49=50
Let x be the total number of apples eaten on Wednesday. The total number of apples eaten of Tuesday would be x + 4 9 , therefore the total number of apples eaten in total is equal to x + 4 9 + x = 5 1 . The total number of apples eaten on Wednesday is...
x + 4 9 + x = 5 1
2 x = 2
x = 1
Thus, the total number of apples eaten on Tuesday would be 5 1 − 1 = 5 0
hi william can u arrange any job for me
We know that:
If Tuesday=T, Wednesday=W,then
5 1 = T + W
W = T − 4 9
Subtitude:
5 1 = T + ( T − 4 9 ) = T + T − 4 9 = 2 T − 4 9
5 1 + 4 9 = 2 T = 1 0 0
1 0 0 = 2 T → 5 0 = T
Therefore I ate 50 apples on Tuesday
x+(x-49)=51 x+x=51+49 2x=100 x=50
Wedneday -1 apple, Tuesday 1+49=50 apple, so toal 1+50= 51 apple
let the no. of apples eaten on wednesday be x and the no. of apples eaten on tuesday be y.A/C to ques y+x=51 and y-x=49. On solving these two equations we get y=50
Consider X as Tuesday And Y As Wednesday. Now Total Apple is 51. So X + Y = 51 And X = 49 + Y Solving Equations:
2Y + 49 = 51 Hence Y = 1 And X = 51 - Y = 51 -1 =50
