Probability Level pending

Let's say you flip a fair die 2014 times. The probability that you get an even number of sixes is x y \frac {x}{y} . What is x × y + x + y x\times y+x+y ?

The answer is 5.

1 solution

In a fair throw of dice, no matter how many times, the probability of getting an even number is always 1/2. In this case, x=1 and y=2, so substituting values for x and y, we get 1*2+1+2 = 2+1+2 = 5

Actually it should be: No matter how many times we throw a dice 6 appears either odd or even times with equal probability of both being : 1/2 . Hence: x/y = 1/2
