Si el diámetro es 2 m entonces el radio es 1 m y el área es π (1 m)^2 o sea πm^2

The formula for the area of a circle when the diameter is given is π 4 d 2 \dfrac{\pi}{4}d^2 where d d is the diameter. So the area is π 4 ( 2 2 ) = \dfrac{\pi}{4}(2^2)= π \boxed{\pi}

Diamter = 2 r = 2 m r = 2 2 = 1 m 2r = 2 \ m \\ \therefore r = \frac{2}{2} = 1 \ m

Area = π r 2 = π × 1 2 = π m 2 \pi r^2 = \pi \times 1^2 = \pi \text{ m}^2
