The area of the square = 10*10=100

The diagonal line of the square = Square root of 200

200*3.14/4=157

157-100=57

The square has a diagonal = 10sqrt(2), which is the radius of the circle, so the area of shaded part = (1/4) (pi) 200 - 100 = 57. Ed Gray
