Each of the 6 blue equilateral triangle has the same area as the adjacent green (formed by the sides and diagonals of the hexagon) equilateral triangle (since they share a side and all of their sides are equal henceforth).

(In other words, each of the 6 blue equilateral triangle can be "folded" on the adjacent green equilateral triangle.)

Therefore, the total blue and the green have an:
