Use the fact that an inscribed angle of t t degrees cuts an arc of 2 t 2t degrees. Thus the arc cut by the 1 7 17^\circ angle has measure of 3 4 34^\circ , and the arc cut by the 2 4 24^\circ angle has measure of 4 8 48^\circ . The white sector thus spans 8 2 82^\circ , leaving 27 8 278^\circ degrees of the circle in the gray area.

Thus the are of the gray sector is 278 360 64 π 155.1858 \frac{278}{360}*64 \pi \approx 155.1858 when we use the approximation π 3.14 \pi \approx 3.14 .
