Ravi's brother is 3 years senior to him . His father was 28 years of age when his sister was born , while his mother was 26 years of age when he was born . If his sister was 4 years of age when his brother was born , what was the age of Ravi's father and mother respectively when his brother was born ?

Let Ravi's age be x. Then his brother's age is x+3 and his sister's, x+3+4 = x+7. since it is implied that Ravi's sister is 4 years older than his brother. This means that Ravi's father is x+7+28 = x+35 years of age while Ravi's mother is x+26 years of age. When his brother was born, his father was (x+35)-(x+3) = 32 years old while his mother, (x+26)-(x+3) = 23 years old.
