If the total number of bees is taken as x x , the problem statement can be written as

x = x 5 + x 3 + 3 ( x 3 x 5 ) + 1 x=\frac{x}{5}+\frac{x}{3}+3\left(\frac{x}{3}-\frac{x}{5}\right)+1

which on simplification gives x = 14 15 x + 1 x=\frac{14}{15}x+1 or x = 15 x=\boxed{15} .

Three bees on Kadamba blossom, five bees on Silindhra flower, six bees on Kutaja blossom and one bee in the air.
